O.A.R. and The Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America are aiming to raise awareness and support for America's most recent veterans by collecting pledges. Open Up Your Arms Campaign

Today marks the launch of the band’s Open Up Your Arms Campaign, a partnership with the IAVA (Iraq and Afganistan Veterans of America). After incredible experiences overseas with the troops in Iraq and Kuwait and visits to Ford Hood and Walter Reed Medical Center, the band has seen first hand the importance of helping out this new generation of veterans. In an effort to bring attention to these warriors, the band has partnered with the IAVA to create a website for people to learn more about the issues facing these young men and women and ways to help make a difference. By signing the pledge and showing your support, you will automatically be entered to win great items such as a limited edition O.A.R./IAVA T-Shirt donated by Sportiqe Apparel, Skullcandy Earbuds, or a Pair of Tickets and a Meet & Greet with the band at an upcoming show. Plus, if you sign up by October 20th at midnight, you will be granted special access to the world premiere of the “War Song” video and a live web chat with the band.

The goal for the campaign is 11,111 pledges by November 11th, Veteran’s Day.

We know it is a tall order but we are confident that with all of your help, we can make it a reality.
