Hello O.A.R. supporters, hello!
This message is being written to you from our first tour stop, Charlotte, NC. This eve will be our first show on this run. We couldn’t be more excited to tour, unless it was yesterday, the day before the tour began, when the anticipation is climaxing to a most incredibly high place. Alas, it is today and the moment has arrived!
Wanted to share some things going on this run. Besides more of our music on-stage, we are going to be writing a bunch of new tunes behind the scenes. We’re prepping for our next studio release, so with that comes trial and error at soundcheck. We go by our manager’s term, “Who feels it, knows it.” Though this term is not his term, it is someone else’s, aka Bob. But we coin him on it. Thanks D.
Besides the music, which always comes first, we have an extension of our Green Dream program. Please check it out and come ready for some environmentally friendly info. On the good for earth tip, we’re also mid-campaign with IAVA on OpenUpYourArms.org. A campaign to support the newest generation of our nations heroes, our troops and veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. We encourage everyone to go to our microsite and sign the pledge. Our goal is 11,111 by 11/11 (Veterans Day). Right now, we’re at 10,000, so help us reach this asap!
Just want to express our excitement for this tour, and our gratitude for being able to have a career in music.
